Why are the lungs so vascular? 3

Why are the lungs so vascular? Where is the oxygen supply to the blood?

High vascularized means that there are many arteries in the blood, which makes sense because this is where the red blood cells lose carbon dioxide and take in oxygen. This is done in capillaries, where the thick walls of individual cells allow the diffusion of carbon dioxide and oxygen.

When we breathe in, we take in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide. Through this exchange of gas, the airways carry oxygen to the blood. It is in the lungs, so there is oxygen.
