Is Web Scholarship a Buzz Word for Students? 3

I have just received an e-mail stating that I may be eligible for a scholarship to help fund my education. I just finished FASFA and my best guess is why they got my information. But email doesn't look professional or random, and the first thing your site asks for is my social security number.

The site is called and Kalia claims to work through the Student Aid Commission.

Does anyone else know?

Do you offer scholarships on the web for limited students?

I also received an email from a web grant student ... I realized I was lazy when they immediately asked for my social security number to create an account. I waited until yesterday, then called my school's financial aid department to make sure it wasn't fraudulent. You have to be careful. Talk to your financial aid service and if they say it's okay, it probably is. Otherwise, do not provide your Social Security number.

The FAFSA does not share any information with anyone but the oppressed who leave it behind. Your school may work with this group, but you have the right to do so. Contact the FA scols service and find out if information exchange is possible.
