My school offers an ROP (Regional Professional Program) for after-school therapists to complete and code. Did anyone find it? I wonder if it's hard and what they force you to do? It's a semester and you go three times every Monday and Wednesday.

I did medical training and coding, but it's not POR. Chances are you'll learn the same. All medical procedures and diagnoses have a code number that is submitted to insurers and Medicare on an (electronic) form. You will likely learn basic medical terms, physiology, and disease processes. This was followed by coding in ICD9, International Disease Classification, CPT, current procedure terminology and HCPCS, which was used for coding. If you like science as well as research and numbers, you might like it. At work, you spend a lot of time talking to patients and insurance companies in front of your computer or on the bridge.
