Is 1.5 Mbps Good - How To Discuss

By Rachel Davis |

Is 1.5 Mbps Good

Is 1.5 Mbit / s enough to play World of Warcraft and Raid or just sit in the hallway with a good ping?

DSL should be better on all fronts. Your ping should be minimal. I don't play wow, but with games like Unreal I get a ping of 60 ms. 1.5 Mbit / s is more than enough for gaming. Games don't use much, video downloads and sequencing will use more. Downloading from SD may make a difference, but for more than 20 kilobytes (and maybe less), the game will be fine. Games are fast and don't try to send too much data back and forth, your ping (response time) makes all the difference when playing with this bandwidth. DSL can have a much stronger and more consistent connection than a satellite dish.

Cable is the best cycle of my experience. SD is usually faster and more stable, but DSL is significantly better than satellite. Friction satellite ping I think can improve performance, mostly graphics and rendering is done by me.

I think living in dollars without delay is an unrealistic dream. I have a 20 Mbps fuse connection and I'm working right now.

I have 1.5 Mbit / s (but actually I only get 600 because of our half line. It should work fine as long as I get a good color ping. Definitely 1.5 Mbit / s to play wow Enough).

Yes, that's right. I don't get interruptions or delays.

1.5 Mbps should be enough, you should have less ping.

Definitely; I checked the raid on 0.5 XD
