The color of an image element or pixel. Chroma consists of saturation and hue values, but is separate from the lightness value.

Meanings of Chroma

1. Color depending on brightness similar to the illuminated area.

2. The appearance of a hue that depends on the amount of white or in its saturation.

3. A note on a chromatic scale.
